Two Weeks (4:03)

Cover of Veckatimest

From Veckatimest and 10 other releases

Ed Droste told The Sun how Two Weeks came about: “Chris Bear (our drummer) and I were on a weekend trip to Cape Cod to play around with some song ideas and that one just came out of nowhere with Chris starting the piano line and myself quickly following with a vocal melody and lyrics.” (Source Two Weeks Songfacts).
The Intro of the song was used in the Peugeot 5008 commercial in Europe in november 2009.

1st level : Nice little song ! 2nd level : Quite boring background commercial music. 3rd level : total psychedelic mindfuck.

More Beach Boys influenced pop. Quite tidy, hear a bit of Fleet Foxes in it too.

when this song came out , it was a game changer, i just remember being at one of their shows at Austin City Limits, and when they played it, i think we all felt like we were all a part of something special, timeless, and classic.
