About This Track

“Undisclosed Desires” is influenced by contemporary R&B such as Timbaland , using a drum machine and vocoder-laden vocals. Matt Bellamy plays neither guitar nor piano on “Undisclosed Desires”, whilst Chris Wolstenholme plays slap bass. According to Matt, the song is very personal in nature, relating to his relationship with his girlfriend.

It’s the 3rd song on the album The Resistance

I want to reconcile the violence in your heart I want to recognise your beauty's not just a mask I want to exorcise the demons from your past I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart. ♥

This song is so far outside of what I pictured them doing, but ends up probably being my favourite track because of the instrumentation. The rich bass guitar and heavy beat overlayed with delicate synth is just awesome. Bellamy's voice ends up fitting perfectly with it too. This track is unexpected winner. [2]

I haven't yet listened to an entire album by Muse. They're a relatively new discovery for me. But, I can say that so far most of the songs I like best are from the Resistance album. And, this is probably my favorite song I've heard from them so far.

If anything, this song is a testament to the band that makes songs as diverse as Citizen Erased, Sunburn, Starlight, Butterflies and Hurricanes, and of course Exogenesis. They've figured out a way to just be rock musicians, writing whatever they want, and still be a cohesive band. LOVE muse.

There's a bit of a creep factor in this one, after all it seems like they're talking about turning in the V-card. "Violence in your heart"? "Exorcise the demons from your past"? Sounds like a virgin with (high falsetto) proooblems...but I love muse anyway.
