“Undisclosed Desires” is influenced by contemporary R&B such as Timbaland , using a drum machine and vocoder-laden vocals. Matt Bellamy plays neither guitar nor piano on “Undisclosed Desires”, whilst Chris Wolstenholme plays slap bass. The result is apparently very reminiscent of Depeche Mode. According to Matt, the song is very personal in nature, relating to his relationship with his girlfriend.
