As of September, 2009, it has sold over 75,000 copies in the U.S. and 225,000 worldwide. The album was recorded in autumn 2008 at a studio in Los Angeles with producer Don Gilmore. Lacuna Coil is an Italian metal band from Milan. Since their formation in 1994, the group has had two name changes, being previously known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal.
