Vaduz, Lichtenstein (2003 – 2012)

Elis was a band from Vaduz, Lichtenstein, formed in 2003 after the split of Erben der Schöpfung in 2002. They split up in 2012. The final members of the band were Pete Streit (guitars), Chris Gruber (guitars), Tom Saxer (bass, harsh vocals), and Max Naescher (drums). Former members included Sabine Dünser, Franco Koller, René Marxer, Jürgen Broger, Sandra Schleret, and Simone Christinat.

Elis began their musical career under the name Erben der Schöpfung in 2000. In 2001, they released their first single Elis as well as their debut album Twilight. The band has appeared live at the Wave Gotik Festival in Leipzig, among others, has held on to favorable positioning on the DAC-Charts, and has remained well represented in the scene’s press. Germany’s Orkus Magazine, for example, featured Erben der Schöpfung as their top newcomer act of the month. This choice was later more than confirmed by the publications readership, who extended the honor by choosing the band as their Newcomer of 2001.

Following their split with Oliver Falk, the band re-emerged in 2003 under the new alias Elis. Produced at Mastersound Studio by Alexander Krull (Atrocity, Leaves’ Eyes), “God’s Silence, Devil’s Temptation” was simultaneously released on Napalm Records with the re-release of Erben der Schöpfung’s 2001 debut Twilight.

    In my opinion ,the band begins to break up when Sandra left they guys.I will not blame Simone or Sandra, but we have Sabine's legacy , and a great album with Sandra to continue enjoying

    Elis didn't say Simone's departure caused the band to break up. Truth be told, they almost split after Sandra left last year. They gave it another go when Simone agreed to take over on vocals. You DrakeHarket, are doing the guys a huge disservice by claiming otherwise. As far as supporting the band from your point of view, I have to say..... really? I don't recognize you from ANY Elis forum. I am the one who has been actively supporting them. I don't just write about, and claim it either, I have a presence all over the internet for nearly 4 years now which proves it. So sorry, if I don't know you, then you haven't been all that active in your support.

    @DrakeHarket: It's not Simone's fault that she was under stress. She was in 2 bands, and she can keep going from Switzerland to Lichtenstein then back. It's too much work for her. And besides Elis had been struggling for a long time now, and I'm glad they freed themselves. I'm not saying that I'm happy that they quits, I just respect their decisions.
