Maxride10000: Yeah, I love Tony's accent. Hell, I love the Finnish accent, full-stop. Sithpt: Guess you're seeing them soon? Me, too, but on the 24th of March!

No worries! We're all guilty of misunderstanding words in a song sometimes. As much as I love the man, he sometimes pronounces words a little differently, but it's all because of his Finnish accent (which I personally adore), I guess. To be honest, I thought he said, "Towards the avenger" when I first listened to this song, hahaha >.>;;.

SlayerOfLight1: I think you'll find he says "Off the ship, TOWARDS THE ADVENTURE".

I don't like SA much, but i do rather like this song^^ [2] Agreed. I've always found his voice slightly odd. Example - I always cringe at 0:39 when he says "TOOWARDS THE ATLANTA!!!!!!!!" It just sounds sooo cheesy.

Gotta love how the most generic, catchy, chorus-focused power metal songs are always the most popular songs... OK song.

@MartijnGP. Yeah, I know that, but you don't understand my point, I'm not against old fans, I'm against to think tha Flag in the ground is the strongest DoG song.

@Kutecaguai has it come to your mind that people might like both their old and new style? Btw, I Sonata's earlier albums and Stratoavarius, while both power metal, are way different. I like both of them. Now you see the opposite. Stratovarius has gone somewhat progressive with their (in my opinion) crap album Polaris. Furthermore, I agree with you. Juliet is one of the most amazing songs ever written. Yet I like Flag in the Ground as well everyone once in a while.

Who says that? The guy with a Metallica avatar. Epic power metal style? My God, the SA power metal was only a way for Tony to see how they can get closer to Stratovarius. The days of grays have great songs, but the shitty fanbase only apreciate this bad songs. What about Juliet, The dead skin, Deathaura? THESE are strong songs, not Flag in the ground, that is too much simple fanservice.

I would say amazing because they finally returned to their epic power metal style i love! But no... its a rerecord of a Tricky Beans song. WTF are you listening to Kutecaguai? This is probably the strongest song on the album.

Excellent song albeit better suited to Ecliptica but given it's age that's not too surprising

This is a great stand alone song but I really don't like the way it breaks up the flow of the album. Of any of the songs, this one should have been labeled the bonus track (included on all versions of course). I know it was written long ago and modernized and although I love all eras of SA, it doesn't seem to fit well where it is. That's my only complaint of the whole album though so I suppose it's minor. TDoG is a masterpiece.
