Motown Records is a record label founded by Berry Gordy in 1959. It was the first record label owned by an African American to primarily feature African-American artists. I have been listening to music since I was 3 years old. Nothing beats Motown and what they did from 59 to 71. The amount of greatness on this label was just beyond words can say. It's like everything was at the right place at the right time.
