I prefer end 70's (post-punk like Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie) the begin/end of Punkmovment (Sex Pistols, Ramones,The Clash) althought it was Glam Rock with Bowie and Roxy Music that started all... 1977 was for me the best year of the 70's when i really started too listen too music and hear ''Heroes'' of David Bowie on the radio

1970's, by all accounts, had variety. Rock, pop, country, R&B, disco, reggae, and even punk all managed to make the Top 40. It's that sheer variety which is partly why 70's has appeal to many demographics and ages.
