I'm 42 years old tomorrow and I hate to say this... But I grew up in the 80's and my generation loves music from the 50's on up. When you have kids that were teens in the 90's, they don't care about anything but that era. It's really a shame. There is such beautiful music from the 50's-60's and no one wants to give it a second thought in the new generation. I'm almost ashamed. Though I'm glad I influenced my daughter in the right direction. She watches I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, listens to the same music and likes it. And still likes her own music. She's ecclectic as her dear old mom.

v i couldn't agree more. we can still see the influence of 60's music today, which is incredible and just shows that it was the best times for music to develop. oldies are goldies!

it was a greatest time both for humanity as well as for music -- music is just a cultural reflection of humanity's state of mind. regarding to the music, everything that came after that time, since about 80's to nowadays, is a total crap. and the further, the worse it gets. just wonder why so many people on earth these days eat that bloody commercial shit. it appears, the world is going nuts.
