  • A couple personal thoughts: A) Back when i first heard it in '01, I remember instantly thinking the guitars sounded kinda grungey. Glad to see the tags reflect I'm not the only one who felt that way. B) My first thought after hearing it was that I thought it was weird. I didn't hate it for sure. Part of me really liked it, and another part was like, "What was that?". With time I really dug it, though. That little guitar solo and the goofy Santa Monica lyrics are frigging sweet, as well as the coughing (what a 'weezer'!).
