@inspiredbubbles their production, their lyrics, Maja's delivery of said lyrics, the artwork... it's all pretty tacky and embarrassing. Living In America + Dying To Say This have this youthful, spunky, clever sound, whereas their later efforts sound over-thought (Crossing The Rubicon), under-thought (Something To Die For) and over-produced. they've sacrificed their whole appeal for gloss. I caught their show here in Montreal in October and it was fantastic yeah, in a live setting I remember why I fell in love with em, but even then the new songs left me feeling kinda bored.
