This album came out just around the time that I had started listening to Sparks. I hadn't heard Lil' Beethoven yet when I first heard this, and I was absolutely blown away. Dick Around was my favourite song for a long time.

This is the best album of 2006. Sparks are in their mid-50's now, and still show no signs of slowing down. Hello Young Lovers shows Ron & Russell leave the techno scene behind and re-dig their rock roots with Ron's classical sensiblities. Dick Around is the most infectious track - a mini-opera with lilting piano interspersed with dashings of moshpit metal. A shame the LP never got to No.1.

32 years after Kimono My House and Sparks still has the talent to release another all time classic. A big sprawling canvas with several awesome mini-operas, all in the context of the messy relations between the sexes. Top notch!
