David Bowie (born David Robert Jones on January 8, 1947 in Brixton, London) is an iconic english rock musician. Active in five decades of popular music and frequently reinventing his music and image, Bowie is widely regarded as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. He has been cited as an influence by many musicians and is known for his distinctive voice and the intellectual depth of his work.
As a multi-instrumentalist, he is famous for playing the guitar, piano and saxophone; but also plays the harmonica, drums, cello, marimba, bass guitar, koto, and stylophone. He rose to fame with the heady 1969 folk rock single
Space Oddity and became a glam rock icon with the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (1972). Subsequent albums have explored blue-eyed soul, electronica and new wave, often predating these genres’ popularity or even the point at which they were defined as genres.

Now Bowie fans can rejoice over the news that A REALITY TOUR has finally been remastered as a double-CD. Sweetening the package are three bonus tracks performed on the tour but not included on the original DVD: "China Girl," "Breaking Glass" and "Fall Dog Bombs The Moon." The 33-song configuration will be available at all physical and digital retail outlets starting January 26, 2010 through ISO Records and Columbia/Legacy, a division of SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Cat People (putting Out The Fire) was a collaboration between Giorgio Moroder (the father of disco) and David Bowie...such a timeless song by an incredible duo, thank god somebody did notice this and used it in a movie....also I do like more the "let's dance" version with an excellent guitar solo by Stevie Ray. Ah David Bowie needs to make a comeback! do a world wide tour again and show those youngsters how to make good music....before he becomes older that's it hehe
