Seahaven came together in 2009 as the brainchild of lead singer / songwriter Kyle Soto. Kyle quickly rounded up their line-up with Michael Craver (guitar), Eric FIndlay (drums) and Mike DeBartolo (bass) and released their critically acclaimed debut EP, ‘Ghost’. This caught the attention of the buzz punk/indie label, Run for Cover Records (Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Man Overboard) and the band soon released their debut LP ‘Winter Forever’ via RFC. Released in November 2011, the album was well received. Alternative Press named them as one of their ‘100 Bands You Need to Know in 2012’. Soon after it’s release, the band would find themselves on a diverse touring schedule, spending time on the road with the emotional hardcore of bands like Touche Amore & Pianos Become the Teeth as well as infectious pop-punk of bands like Man Overboard. In March of 2014, the band released their second full length, “Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only”. The album is much different to their earlier work, but still reflects the common themes found in ‘Winter Forever’ and ‘Ghost’. The album was received well and has show the band’s diversity in songwriting and genre.

This new album is so intimate. It's like getting together with friends on a beach and some dudes start playing tunes at dusk.

New album is slowly growing on me. Maybe I should give it a few more days since I just started listening to it yesterday. So far, Silhouette, On the Floor, and Love to Burn were the only ones that caught my ears. LOVE the melancholy aspect of this album though!

Most of the stuff this band has put out in the past has left me pretty cold, but this new record is something special.
