Punk

Rooted in garage rock and other forms of what is now known as protopunk music, punk rock bands eschewed the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock. They created fast, hard-edged music, typically with short songs, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti-establishment lyrics. Always this same Green Day shit going. I personally love Green Day, been listening to them for ages. I really don't give a flying fuck if they're punk or not, and neither should you. Is it really such a big deal? I know it's annoying when people say they listen to punk, but then they just listen to Blink and Green Day, but is it really worth fighting?
