Inspired by fellow Scots Travis, at the age of just 12, Amy Macdonald picked up one of her dad’s guitars and taught herself to play. Just a few years and a few demo CDs later she got a record deal at the home of Razorlight and The Killers and saw ‘Mr Rock & Roll’ become her first hit when it made No.12 in July 2007.
