@Celebnar222: Well that's what people should think of when they heard San Fran. Music that was produced in San Fran was like nowhere else. San Francisco scene was mightiest scene around that happened once and never again. So much great bands from one city, so I think those great artist should be atop of some LMFAO, Dodos and Sandwitches guys, don't you think? Only thing that's okay is Scott McKenzie, he's awesome. @EpicSoundtracks: I'm not into punk but it's probably better than these top artist. (Except for McKenzie)

san francisco is not all about the fucking grateful dead, the 60's have been over for about 40 years now. that's all people think of when they hear san francisco and i can't stand it. that being said, most of these bands do not belong here, even though i love belle and sebastian.

actually top artist should be jefferson airplane, grateful dead, quicksilver messenger service and other psychedelic band that define san francisco as the grooviest place on earth. wake up, haight ashbury!
