Power Metal is agressive. It has melody, but not extreme bubblegum melody like that european copy. Vicious Rumors, Jag Panzer, Iced Earth, some songs of Manowar, Virgin Steele, and others ARE Power Metal. REAL POWER METAL. Power Metal born in the US. In early 80's, before Helloween release their debut, many and many metal magazines use the term for these american bands. The only Helloween's releases that are Power Metal are the EP from 1985 and Walls Of Jericho. Keepers >>>>>>Today, are MELODIC METAL. European bands that are Power Metal: Grave Digger, Blind Guardian, Primal Fear. They are fuckin' agressive as hell. Vocals are not clean as those of Michael Kiske. The melodies of Power Metal are more epic. The melodies of Melodic Metal are more classical. Power Metal is near both the traditional Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal. Melodic Metal is near of Speed Metal, Neo-Classical Metal and Hard Rock. Manilla Road was formed in 1977. They ARE the FATHERS of Power Metal.
