I agree that Australian mainstream is terrible. And YES Kylie Minogue IS our national shame. You should all be checking out the Aussie Not-Quite-Underground rock scene - especially bands from Perth (eg. Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo, Sleep Parade). Progressive Rock in Australia is flourishing.
