Disagree about George never being the equal of Lennon and McCartney... Here Comes the Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something are all just as good as the best Lennon and McCartney Beatles songs. Everyone from Frank Sinatra to Elvis fell in love with Something in particular, and while I consider Band on the Run the best post-Beatles album, I'd put All Things Must Pass as a close second.

It's still somewhat shocking after all this time to realize that the McCartney of this album was just 6 months (give or take) removed from the McCartney of Abbey Road. Both brilliant yet polar opposites.

Simple and relaxing, not quite Wings and not quite Beatles, yet it still stands as one of my favorite Paul McCartney records.

A beautiful love letter written to Linda. She really did pull him out in time.

Tyrano.....the Beatles were not as equally brilliant.Lennon and McCartney were brilliant....George was a work in progress for most of the early years and then a good artist in his own right in the later ones...but he was NEVER in the same league.

Junk, Oo You and Teddy Boy could have been classic Beatles songs....

as if the Beatles would have been as good if the main three weren't all equally brilliant (in different ways of course)

Simple, beautiful, and truly a sign that Paul is a major musical talent on his own

It is true I am agree this is one maca's masterpiece. But I think when He relesed this album he was not that happy with it. The dissapointing was far more because George Harrison got No 1 with "My sweet Lord" that year. Do not forget that the stars in The Beatles were Paul and John and not having a No 1 as a solo artist was to much for them! George got it first!!!
