Money is the sixth studio album by KMFDM. It was originally intended to be named Apart, with each of the two core members, Sascha Konietzko and En Esch recording half an album and combining their work. The album ended up using only Konietzko's half, along with additional songs.

The album cover includes a self-portrait of long time KMFDM artist Aidan Hughes.

I switched the throwaway track 'We Must Awaken' with the version of Split on the Vogue single, and replaced the 4 remixes with the tracks from En Esch's Cheesy that were originally made for the 'Apart' album before it became 'Money'. I think it's a much better album this way.

One of my favorite KMFDM albums. Sadly, it's more like an EP with some Naïve remixes and a b-side track. This is the tracklisting I made for my ideal MONEY album: 01. Money 02. Vogue 03. Help Us/Save Us/Take Us Away 04. Bargeld 05. Spiritual House 06. Sex on the Flag (Jezebeelzebuttfunkmix) 07. Split—Apart 08. Gypsy Queen 09. Ich Bin 10. Rule the Mob 11. The Past is Beyond Recovery.

I'm impressed by this album.. and it's got a really interesting history. Fitting for such a unique album in the KMFDM discography.

First half: Great. Second half: Not so much. Rumor has it that some songs from En's half became Cheesy, his solo release. If that's true, its probably best his half didn't make it...if you've heard it, you'd know why I say that. Not that it's bad, but...

Damn good although En Esch's part in this wasn't released.
