Biography

MDFMK was ex-KMFDM (and re-KMFDM) member Sascha Konietzko, wunderkind Tim Skold, and Lucia Cifarelli. They released one album, one soundtrack song and two Japanese bonus tracks before KMFDM sprang up from its swampy grave and Tim Skold joined Marilyn Manson.

    @xHxYxBxRxIxDx and your forgot PiG . MDFMK is definitely better than KMFDM as most of the original members were present. but if you don't know the very first line up it'd be worth checking out as PiG was the real founder behind KMFDM, he was the real talent behind KMFDM , he brought them up to fame and was the first to leave. hardly anyone mentions his part and has been forgotten by most who listen to KMFDM

    This album is way better than anything KMFDM has done since Adios. That doesnt include SvK. Face it Skold and Sasha together are just perfect.

" I don't think this is quite correct. Adios was supposed to fulfill their obligations to Wax Trax/TVT. KMFDM is a registered trademark Sascha owns, and they just decided to ditch the MDFMK name and adopt the original name.

    KMFDM broke up due to diferences between Sascha and En Esch. they still could have used the name. that wasn't the issue. the idea was to let it be dead at that time. then later realized fuck it, KMFDM is coming back. for a while with En Esch and company rumored to come back. However, they declined to do so, but KMFDM came back anyways. and half assed was that. no single KMFDM album after MDFMK is "great." MDFMK in my mind is different because the idea was different. the sound was different. you can argue it's still similar, but it's not the same. it stands alone from all other albums. but they also had 2 songs that were... really? you wrote THIS? terrible. but only to be found on the Japanese version. and the best song of all of the MDFMK days... MISSING TIME only to be found on a crappy soundtrack. But if you like MDFMK and you don't know Missing Time, YOU'RE MISSING OUT.

    Basicly MDFMK is reincarnaited KMFDM back then. If i remember right, They could go with the name KMFDM with the record deal because kmfdm still had a record deal with waxtrax. Few years later waxtrax went from here to eternity and they could use the kmfdm name again...
