About This Track
“Crash Into Me” is from the Dave Matthews Band’s album “Crash;” it is also found on the band’s first compilation album: The Best of What’s Around, Vol. 1. “Crash Into Me” reached #7 on billboard’s modern rock chart in March, 1997. Although it didn’t win, the song was nominated for a 1998 grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. It has since been covered by a number of artists, including Stevie Nicks.
Dave Matthews has described the song as being about a voyeur’s worship of women and that he wrote the song instead of being arrested. (VHI Storytellers).

In my opinion, this song isn't as simple as just being voyeuristic. It's that feeling you have when you want someone but can only look from far away. The power they have over you, mentally and physically. Desire so strong it threatens to take you over sometimes, feeling so lost in them. This song is a lot more than being voyeuristic.
