About this album
Sap is the second studio EP by the American heavy metal band Alice in Chains. It was released on February 4, 1992 through Columbia Records.
The album was re-released on March 21, 1995 when “Got Me Wrong” became a hit after its inclusion on the soundtrack to the 1994 movie Clerks. The re-released version included lyrics and slightly different artwork. The aforementioned song, as well as “Brother”, was performed live during Alice in Chains’ MTV Unplugged concert. Also of note is song “Right Turn”, which features guest vocals by fellow Seattle grunge musicians, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Mark Arm of Mudhoney; as such, the song is credited to “Alice Mudgarden.”
