lol i was 10 when i listened to those bands (minus Opeth) but i grew up with those bands. I still found nu metal interesting (mostly because i listened to rap as well) including Slipknot but later on i found much more extreme metal bands (Death/Black) but on occasion i still re visit those other bands & i don't hate on them (because everyone else does) nor i waste my time hating justin bieber, creating anti groups, ect. In fact i wouldn't even wear an anti-justin bieber shirt because then i would still be promoting the crap. I'd rather spend my time on bands i do like and ignore the shit i don't like.

1. Popularity does not equal mainstream, normality does as I argued here 2. Popular Metal is just as bad as Nu Metal if you scorn memorable riffs (what both genres try and achieve.) 3. I am against Mainstream Metal, not popular artists. I have them in my charts because I've been here for 7 years. A 14 year old listens to the beginner's guide to Metal (Opeth, Megadeth, Death, Iron Maiden, Pantera) before he realizes there is much more extreme music to get into (DSBM, Raw Black Metal.)

Not not not and not, i only said that it's ironic say "HURR DURR death, pantera, and all these mainstream bands suck, are only for mainstream metalheads" (trash73) when you listen bands more mainstream than any of these bands, it's just fun and ironic, i don't say that it's bad or something else...so lol, what do you mean mang?

Yeah, that shout have sense, but, The bands i mentioned have three diferents styles and diferent sound, so it's hard to know what is the amount of people that listen the same bands

lol most of the stuff out there is good, it's people who are the ones judging it. Sure, i might listen to crap and.. zomg! according to my music pie i like 1.22% nu metal (Spineshank being the only band), 3.02% metalcore.. ect so does that mean that every trve metalfan is going to hate on that!? I honestly don't care because i like those bands. The only metal genres i really see getting crapped on, nu metal, metalcore & deathcore. Maybe power metal too, altho not as much as the others. One thing i have noticed is why are people always complaining about the popular stuff, regardless if the band is good or not. It's pretty dumb, why spend your time hating on bands you don't like when you should be spending your time supporting the bands you do like.

I dont care about mainstream, i care if it sounds good. Since john 7 got someone else to explain math he thinks im owned. Still uneducated and still dumbass. Any metal that still has fanbase no matter how big or small still means its alive, i love it and i dont care if its 15 years old. People who hate are only critics, not creators.
