Gothic Metal: Gothic metal (also called Goth Metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal music. It is characterised as a combination of the dark and often melancholy atmospheres of doom metal with the aggression of the extreme metal subgenres, placing heavy emphasis on a beauty and the beast vocal style. since you ask so nicely L_E_D_Zep, Draconian, The Sins of Thy Beloved (both gothic doom), Penumbra (the French one), Trail of Tears, Dark the Suns, earlier Tristania, Moonspell, The Beckoning (newish Canadian duo) - but I'll probably be told they're all doom metal or symphonic metal - or pussy metal if you prefer
