Hello (3:40)
From Fallen and 7 other releases
Written by: A. Lee, B. Moody and D. Hodges
The song was developed during the 2001-2002 demos and later released as track #9 on Fallen. The most personal song ever written and released by Amy Lee; this is the only Fallen song that has never been performed live in concert (the band considered it in 2003). A theme from the song, however, was used in the beginning of a few live shows in 2003 as the intro to the song
Going Under. There is also a video of Amy singing it in her parents’ house in 2004, the only recorded live version of the song.
The song is about one of Amy’s sisters, who passed away in 1987 at the age of three from an unidentified illness.
This sister was later the inspiration for a second song,
Like You.
