Youth Lagoon is the stage name of the American musician Trevor Powers (born in San Diego, California). His debut album The Year of Hibernation was released on Fat Possum Records in 2011, receiving many positive review, notably Pitchfork Media - who awarded his debut ‘Best New Album.’

Influences include baroque-pop artist Chris Garneau, Cocteau Twins, as well as folk artists such as Townes Van Zandt.
