Feeling pretty lukewarm about the new album on my first listen...On "Crime" right's all been really nice, but none of the awesome melodies from their previous stuff are present.

you literally used the phrase ramen noodle fund and you try to tell me what's silly. You gave me enough reason to not read your review by giving me your little idiotic blurb about it. You don't deserve an audience and I won't give you one.

why, ever, would i read a review from someone who talks about music by using phrases such as "fixed gear cyclist fare to razor enthusiast iTunes collection material", "dipped into their ramen noodle fund", and "They're hipsters, and they make music for hipsters"? not only do you use those words to talk about music, you PROUDLY DISPLAY THEM in a short summation of your review. you seem to have a more-than-adequate grasp on the english language and are a fine writer, but you're focusing on and bringing attention to an audience, an image, and a buzzword. you aren't reviewing music - you're reviewing everything but it. if this is how you think it's supposed to be done, hey! stop reviewing music!

"They're hipsters, and they make music for hipsters." fuck off entirely. We need less awful journalism like this.
