Windy Weber and Carl Hultgren began collaborating on music in the early 1990s in Dearborn, Michigan. Their sound is very drony, slow and dreamy. Using guitar, bass, and some keyboards and electronic effects as well as Windy's singing on some tracks they create long delicate washes of sound. Their sound could be described as a blend of post rock and slowcore with some obvious shoegaze influences. They are similar to Bowery Electric and also somewhat similar to My Bloody Valentine, Soul Whirling Somewhere and Loveliescrushing. They releasesed their first album "Portal" in 1996 and released their most recent effort, an EP named 'The Dream House" in 2005, after several years of inactivity. They are signed with Kranky Records.
