Third Eye Blind is a rock band formed in the mid 1990s in San Francisco, California. The original members were Stephan Jenkins (singer, songwriter, electric guitar), Kevin Cadogan (guitar), Adrian Burley (drums), and Jason Slater (bass guitar). The band's original line-up changed several times before the release of the group's debut album, and again shortly after the release of the band's second album Blue — at which…

  • Their "similar artists" are a joke comparatively...
  • Blue > Third Eye Blind > Dopamine > Out of the Vein > Ursa Major... feels accurate to me. I'd rate Ursa about a 7/10... I enjoy "Can You Take Me"... "Bonfire"... "Summer Town" and my favorite might be "Dao of St. Paul" on there... that or Bonfire, one or the other. "Blue" is the best album... hands down, so ahead of it's time... a tune like "Wounded" is better today than it even was 15+ years ago!
  • I'd say Ursa Major is my least favorite Third Eye Blind album. It's actually a pretty good album, but I don't listen to it as much as the other four. Perhaps I just need to put it on rotation more often, but the songs on it don't quite pop out at you like they usually do on their albums. It feels more mellow with the exception of a few songs. Still, I like it, and I can't think of many other songs that make my day instantly happier than "Can You Take Me." Listening to that song never fails to put me in the best of moods.
  • Funnily enough, I consider Blue to be their worst album. But it's still a good one. I wholeheartedly agree with your first sentence, Edgecrvsher. Most people remember 3eb for being a one hit wonder back in the '90s, but we know they got so much more beyond "Semi-Charmed Life". 2015 and still releasing solid tunes!
  • Still amazes me how a band that was played consistently on the radio in the 90s turned out to be the finest Pop Rock songwriters ever. Listening to Dopamine now and it's fantastic, as you would expect from them. As for favorites, even though my favorite 3eb song ever is "Narcolepsy," their best album is Blue. It's not far away at all from Self-Titled, but I do feel Blue has a superior album flow from song to song. They just seem to connect better when you listen to the album from front to back.
  • Say It, Shipboard Cook... Is Stephan still not over Charlize?
  • Dopamine gets a 9/10 from me... well worth the wait!
  • "Thanks a Lot" is a fantastic song!
  • Here's my Top 10: 1. Motorcycle Drive By 2. Wounded 3. Jumper 4. Narcolepsy 5. Blinded 6. How's it Gonna Be 7. Slow Motion 8. God of Wine 9. Bonfire 10. The Red Summer Sun
  • @aviations: I hate "I Want You" (I always skip that song), but I still like you, man ;) I can hardly think of a favourite 3eb album, much less favourite 3eb songs, there's a huge shitload of good ones.
