Stephan Jenkins

Stephan Douglas Jenkins (born on September 27, 1964 in Oakland, California, USA) is best known as the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for Third Eye Blind. Under Jenkins’ leadership, Third Eye Blind has sold over 8 million copies of their three albums Third Eye Blind, Blue, and Out of the Vein. Notable hits such as Semi-Charmed Life, Jumper, How’s it Gonna Be, Deep Inside of You and Never Let You Go were all entirely or at least in part written by Jenkins.

Jenkins has entered other ventures both in the music business and in Hollywood, including acting in the films Rock Star (2001), as Bradley, and Art of Revenge (2003), playing the lead role Matthew Kane. Stephan grew up in Palo Alto, California, and graduated as valedictorian of his class at University of California, Berkeley in 1987, with a B.A. in English Literature.

Stephan’s striking good looks landed him on People’s 50 Most Beautiful People List. Stephan broke up with actress Charlize Theron after failing to take her requests of marriage seriously. The band’s latest album, Out Of The Vein, explores the emotions he experienced as a result of the breakup. Stephan is now dating singer Vanessa Carlton. The two have been together for over two years.
