Biography

Kevin Cadogan began learning the guitar at the young age of twelve. In 1993 he graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA.

The same year he met Stephan Jenkins, and Third Eye Blind formed shortly after. In 1997 they released their self-titled debut album, on which Cadogan cowrote ten of the fourteen tracks. He also cowrote six of the songs on their second album, Blue.

After disagreement and a dispute over an EP deal, Cadogan was fired from the band. He filed a lawsuit against the band and manager. The lawsuit ended in 2002 with Kevin receiving an unknown amount.

Cadogan started a new band called Bully. The band completed a few tracks, but they were not available to buy. The band then split and Kevin went solo. He went on to release three albums: 12 Nights in Studio A, Thousand Yard Stare, and Wunderfoot, all of which included Bully-era tracks as well as new stuff.

In early 2007, Cadogan announced on MySpace that he had joined Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell and Stroke 9 drummer Eric Stock to form Radio Angel.

On August 2, 2008, Kevin and new bandmates (Jude Gold, Keith Graves, and Dave Berners) played in Virginia City, NV, at the famous Piper Opera House for the V&T Railway Benefit. It was a huge success. As well as playing some 3EB songs, Kevin introduced some of his new songs. He plans to record very soon.

    Wish he had continued his efforts with Steve Harwell, or at least released an album with all these awesome unreleased songs on it mastered at better quality. Tracks such as 'Kinsale Harbor' and 'New Biography'. Also his newer stuff like 'Million Times the Sky' and the awesome 'Fired Up' instrumental!

    I'm still confused as to why more people aren't listening! I guess they just don't know he has stuff out - its probably not that well advertised. His stuff is a lot better than a lot of the crap nowadays that sounds the same.

    hey, i've got plenty of love for kev. i actually just left this on the chill video page, but since you're asking where the love is i'll share it w/ you too.. here's the love. THIS IS MY "GUITAR HERO". a knight with shinning guitar. modern day living legend. i love his voice too. kevin cadogan, i have much love for this man!!! and he's a fellow leo too. he is the epitome of greatness. maybe i'm idealising just a tad, but hey that's leo for you, and that's how i see him. including one of the best moments in my life, when i actually met him. what a beautiful man!! inside shinning throughout!

    Well put. He WAS Third Eye Blind, now he has left to be something much greater. Even though he is now part of Radio Angel, I hope he doesnt stop producing his own solo stuff.

    one of the most under rated musicians ever. he WAS third eye blind, wrote most of the lyrics, and almost all of the guitar work, which he didnt even recieve due credit for.. then got kicked out of TEB during the second CD and replaced, even though most of this music on the albums was his. steven jenkins or whatever his name is = ass
