Willimantic CT, United States

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die are an atmospheric emo / indie rock band from Willimantic, CT. The band was formed in 2009 and has undergone several lineup changes since its inception. TWIABP’s now 8 piece lineup writes the songs collaboratively and often on-the-spot with vocal duties shared by 4 members. The band’s sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as “post-rock.” The band creates their dense textured sound with multi-layered and heavily effected guitars as well as synthesizer, cello, and trumpet.

I'll stop scrobbling this band once I get to 420 plays. I have a feeling it's what they want me to do

I feel pretty bad for Chris Z. He probably doesn't let all the criticism get to him too much but he still probably finds it hurtful when people say shit like "even the band thinks it was a huge misstep to have him on" cause I highly doubt anyone in the band thinks that. Its fair enough to not like this album but its pretty lame to start picking on Chris and say that the band themselves think he was a mistake (when they have said themselves that he is a friend and that they like his stuff) There is nothing wrong with disliking Between Bodies or disliking the band in general but mean people like Blvd_Nights and greenpatches should either try to understand that people actually have feelings and be nice and constructive or go somewhere else. I personally enjoyed Between Bodies but I wasn't able to completely fall in love with it like I did with whenever, if ever. If anyone in the band is reading this though don't let these people get to you and make music that you think is best.

@tcejosh we talked about Between Bodies for like a year. It was a collaborative experiment with our friend.

@Blvd_Nights shut the fuck up. Between Bodies was dope. We will continue to make unlistenable shit for turds to whine about. This is now our jobs.

So the current tour they're on is extremely good. Rozwell Kid threatned to steal the show and the Hotelier was anthemic as shit, but everyone is right in regards to the Between Bodies material not coming across as well live. They even addressed this and talked about how much the internet hates that EP and especially Zizzamia's part of the show in general. I think they only played 2 songs from that EP and the rest of it was material from Whenever, If I think they're coming around to how bad of a misstep it is. Hey, I applaud them for trying something's just this Zizzamia stuff is so painfully obvious and what he's saying isn't all that original or thought provoking.
