If you love Angels of Light, make sure you also look up the M. Gira / D. Matz record What We Did. It was released a few months after How I Loved You, but (like every Angels release) it already feels different and new, a progressively-minded stepping stone on the way to Everything Is Good Here/Please Come Home. Is/Was, had it been an Angels of Light song, would likely have counted among their best. This is a beautiful, low-key yet ambitious little album. Get it!

This band needs more love. Unfortunately, people are obsessed with 10s Swans too much.
