Biography

Sacramento, United States (2004 – present)

Tera Melos is a band from Sacramento, California , that incorporates many styles of , , , electronics and unconventional song structure all in one, to create their original genre. They are currently a three-piece (formerly four) consisting of Nick Reinhart (guitar/vocals/keyboard) Nathan Latona (bass), John Clardy (percussion).

Tera Melos play a brand of music characterized by quickly alternating rhythmic patterns, start-stop dynamics, , two-handed on the guitar, extended open-ended bridges, and the use of effect pedals and samplers. After releasing a four song demo in 2004, they self released their untitled debut full-length on October 4, 2005. The album comprises eight tracks, and was re-issued in 2008 on . While some of the tracks on the album feature distorted vocals that are somewhat undecipherable, (guitarist) Nick Reinhart started contributing more prominent vocals to the music with the release of their 2007 split with By the End of Tonight, called Complex Full of Phantoms.

Right before they started recording their second EP Drugs to the Dear Youth, one of the guitarists, Jeff Worms, left the band. It is rumored that Worms left to become a football star. This has been confirmed by Worms, although he has not cited what college he is currently playing for. On January 19, 2007, Tera Melos released the LP on .

"Great band but the three times I've seen them live they've been really dissapointing," really? the three times I saw them live were all exceptional, each better than the last

LOL their newest music video for the song "Bite" is completely ridiculous. Check it out if you want a chuckle.

Yeah, Nick said that some of the shows have been crazy. But they deserved way more respect for the killer set they played.

I legitimately don't think I'm capable of ranking their albums [2] They have genuinely not put a foot wrong.

Man, that show was amazing, but Yes Bear was laughable and (sorry to anyone who loves them) TTNG was extremely boring.

Drugs to the dear youth will always be my favorite. X'ed out is pretty rad though, i'm looking forward to hearing some of the newer songs live in a few weeks.

does anyone else think that the beginning of Melody Nine sounds like "I'm In Love With a Stripper" by T-Pain? next time you listen to that song just think, "She poppin', she rollin', she rollin' She climbin' that pole." haha i aint saying it's a bad thing either! from the first listen i absolutely loved the new record.
