SVT was formed in 1978 and featured Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, Bill Gibson of Soundhole and Huey Lewis & the News, Brian Marnell (Soundhole), and Nick Buck (Hot Tuna). They quickly became a favorite among residents in the Bay Area, and their single "Heart of Stone" became a popular track on local FM stations.
