Biography

Rose Funeral is an American deathcore band from Cincinnati, Ohio, United States.

Rose Funeral’s first demo, Buried Beneath the Blood, was self-recorded and self-released in March of 2006. The demo was followed quickly by the release of their EP, Crucify.Kill.Rot, in August of 2006. It was enough for them to get picked up by Siege of Amida Records, who re-released Crucify.Kill.Rot in March of 2007.

While promoting their debut album, Crucify. Kill. Rot, they toured and played shows with The Black Dahlia Murder, Unearth, Walls of Jericho, The Red Chord, Animosity, Too Pure to Die, The Faceless, Dead To Fall, As Blood Runs Black, Emmure, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Becoming The Archetype, Dead Man In Reno, For The Fallen Dreams, Diskreet, Last House On The Left, Once Nothing, My Bitter End, Endwell, Year Of Desolation, Nights Like These, In This Moment, The Burning Season, Veil Of Maya, Iscariot and more.

Their numerous regional and national tours helped gained the attention of Metal Blade Records and by early 2008, they had landed a deal. Since then, Rose Funeral has been hard at work continuing to tour across North America as well as writing their Metal Blade debut.

At a concert in February 2010 where they opened for Nile, Immolation, Krisiun, and Dreaming Dead, the band lost some credibility after attacking and kicking out some concertgoers at the front of the crowd that, by playing the popular card game UNO, were protesting that the band should not have been been hired as openers at the last minute.

Hating Deathcore is just a trendy opinion right now anyway. Those sheep will move on when another mallcore subgenre gets popular that it's cool to hate. Plus I've never seen what's so special about not being scene or a hipster. People hate on hipsters and scene kids constantly, yet have a difficult time properly articulating the merits of being a non-hipster. Trendhopping can be a ton of fun and you never see trendy people talking shit on non-trendy people. They're too busy having fun.

I don't get why people act like emo, scene, nerdy, or fag are insulting words. Are those people not supposed to have genres of music for them or something? Why would anyone trust a non-fag's opinion on being a fag anyway? I don't see fags putting non-fags in their place. So why would it work the other way around? Seems illogical to me.

It always cracks me up seeing emoscene nerdy fags tagging typical generic, sissy, shitty emoscene dweebcore bands like this as Death Metal and Grindcore LOL. PS, Impetigo = Grindcore,God Macabre= Death Metal,Impetigo and God Macabre > RumpRanger Funeral.

Not bad for a deathcore band. Though, I'm only talking about the tracks I've heard from Gates of Punishment. The vocalist I heard on prior releases was horrible. Keeping my eye out for this band.

I mainly like The Resting Sonata because of the production. I feel like Gates is just way too overproduced. Hope the new album can kinda satisfy everyone somehow. As a huge fan I can honestly say no matter what, I'll be stoked!

i dont even like deathcore that much anymore. but this band is definitely better than most in the genre. sorry if youre too trve to see that. why waste your time coming on a band's profile that you don't like? i will never understand this for the life of me.
