Neko Case (born September 8, 1970, in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American singer-songwriter, best known for her solo career and her contributions as a member of the Canadian indie rock group The New Pornographers.

  • @sifelltneytandi: I'll call it country if I think it's country. "I wish I was the moon," for example gives that Patsy Cline type country feel... "Hold On, Hold On," has more of an indie/ folk feel. There is a psychedelic component to some of her music that can not be denied. This is what separates her from the country designation. Her music is also more complicated than your average country song. I also like the fact that she doesn't use the fake, exaggerated "drawl" in her voice like so many country artists use. I don't know who is worse about it... the guys or the girls in country music.
