anyone who thinks the official is even close to the same level as brion's needs their hearing checked. I'm sorry.

The official version is superior. [2] The strings dominate the bootlegged version too much, the official album has more polished and ornate arrangements (the piano in Not About Love!). IMHO you can clearly hear this is the way Fiona wanted the album to sound in the end, even if it is too polished for some tastes.

the official version is just as good as the bootleg one. they are just different. sometimes I feel like if the bootleg was the released version and vice-versa, people would love the bootleg anyway.

This album was good but a lot of the production on the final version was way too Randy Newman for my taste. But even great artists have albums that might not speak to a particular fan for a particular reason. I am truly looking forward to "The Idler Wheel..." all the same!

This whole cd is amazing. I respect her for trying a new sound and I liked it alot. It is a beautiful and interesting backgroud to her amazing vocals and powerful lyrics.
