Biography

DD Dagger, one woman band from Austin, TX recorded played and engineered all instruments on her new record, “Femmie Auteur”. On stage she plays guitar and sings over multi-tracked loops; dancing and singing like a traveling minstral; visually creating improvised moments. With a stong jazz influence DD is at heart an improviser, finding passion in creating a scene without trashy exhibitionism; all style, all style… Some might remember Dagger as a saxophone player in bands like Deep Sombreros, Superego, The Crack Pipes, Tim Kerr’s Total Direct Sound Action committee and many others.
