There are several artists with the name Clark.
(1) Chris Clark is an English electronic artist currently signed to Warp. With the 2006 release of Throttle Furniture, he shortened his alias to Clark. The latest release is his latest LP Totems Flare, released on Warp Records, a follow up to last year’s Turning Dragon, his most upbeat record to date. His music is described as dirty, gritty electronic music, sometimes melodic and rough around the edges.
(2) Clark is also a folk band from Lompoc, California consisting of husband and wife, Gabriel and Dana Friley, and Andy White. After playing together in various musical projects for many years, the three formed Clark in 2005. Their debut album “Here Comes Tomorrow” was released on Silent Film Records, a label “intended to promote music that can serve as soundscapes for moving picture of the most creative ilk”.
(3) Clark (the band) was an indie Canadian band started in Ottawa in 1999 featuring vocalist and guitarist John Tielli, bassist Matt Gagnon and drummer Andrew Mccormack. With a change in line-up and a discomfort with the number of bands named Clark, Tielli changed the name in January 2007 to Metal Kites. Albums are available for download from Zunior.com.
(4) Clark is also one of aliases used by Mark Bell of LFO. Under the name he released “Lofthouse” EP in 1995.
(5) Clark was also a punk band from the South Bend, IN area.

To expound on that, and as a note, I really don't want to bash Clark too hard because he's totally one of my favorites and up until this point I've never had a concern as to to quality of his music (except for one brief moment when Totems Flare came out and there were vocals [which I still think is a conspiracy involving Warp trying to make their artists more mainstream and pushing them to incorporate vocals because let's face it, they probably need money, labels are dying]) but the fact is, Com Touch is really just okay, and reminds me of Kettel in the sense that it just sounds like Clark is ripping off himself in the past. I don't so much buy all of this "soul searching" business as I do just think it's a ruse to make himself believe he's done something different. Totems Flare (and even maybe Turning Dragon) both packed a punch I hadn't quite felt before, but right now the punch is feeling pretty weak. We'll see, either way I can't wait to hear what he's come up with next.
