“Infected” is a song written by Brett Gurewitz from the punk rock group Bad Religion. It was released in 1994 and appears on their eighth proper studio album Stranger Than Fiction. Along with “21st Century (Digital Boy)”, “Infected” is considered to be their breakthrough song, as it received airplay from modern rock radio stations.
This song was also released in the Harmonix music game Guitar Hero for the PlayStation 2, and was also part of a 3-song Xbox Live download pack on the Xbox 360 title Guitar Hero II on April 11, 2007.

I purchased Stranger Than Fiction many years ago at a secondhand store. All but one tracks on the album played. Infected was one that didn't play. I never knew the song. I see on last.fm charts that this is their most played song, and also a big single for them in 1994. I fail to see how it's up there though. Nothing against BR or this song, but seriously? Is it really that good versus the rest of their stuff.
