I wasn't even aware they released a new EP! Really gotta check that out, I was worried they'd disbanded or something. I've recently just taken to heart to finally work through my music backlog, or rather my new job just gives me the space to listen to more music again, I've been on a weird draught and out of the loop for literal years. Currently I've been getting into dark ambient and generally spookier jazz, feeling silly for Caul being a new discovery to me, but it makes sense insofar that I work as an artist for a slow-paced horror game. The more energetic and harsh noisecore tunes don't quite have the right atmosphere for that. What about you, any general recommendations, doing well in life?

That's awesome! You able to discuss the horror game you're working on? I've never heard Caul but will check it out. If you've been listening to dark ambient lately, have you checked out Lustmord or The Haxan Cloak (Bobby Krylic) before? Life has been good all things considered. Getting ready to start a new position at a private practice and very much looking forward to shows happening again!

Haxan Cloak has been in my library since the release of excavation, been in love with it since I saw the cover art. Lustmord I gotta check out- might be that I did, there are surprisingly many dark ambient/jazz artists with honestly a bit cringy (often for some reason german) names. The game has just been officially announced and got a steam page- if you search for Decarnation you should be able to find it quickly. I'm one of the pixel artists and did the poster art. And all the best in your new position!

Decarnation looks sick! Added it to my wishlist and will definitely check it out when released :)

I'd highly recommend their collaborative album with Merzbow or their newest album, Trumpeting Ecstacy. The former has a lot more harsh noise elements, whereas the latter is just blistering grindcore

Definitely, man! I'm generally into just about anything that's bleak, heavy, and gives an impending sense of doom. Dope profile pic by the way. Suehiro Maruo?

Thanks a lot for the rec, really enjoyed them, the tracks on Tired Sounds that used piano reminded me of that Volume Alpha Minecraft soundtrack. Also they fucked up lastfm big time

I did, it was really good. Reminds me of The Locust a lot, a little bit of early Daughters as well, thanks for the rec!

Thanks for the rec! I just listened to it, thought it was alright. I don't know if I'd go back you know? But it was decent for the moment.

Don't worry, only the B side has drums. B side is also probably technically stoner metal. Gonna stop talking about it now cus the more I do the more silly the idea sounds to me. I'll just give ya the tape in some weeks time. Cheers!~

Thank you! Was that you who just liked the "Nodding off" track? I made an entire tape of that...it's all Sex Pistols songs re visioned as extremely mnml v dirgy drone and even a wee bit o metal. Gotta finish recording the drums but then I'll give ya one! Especially if yr in town.

you had me at "singing ears". Yeah I really like his soundscapes the most out of almost anybody i've heard who does more noise/trve ambient stuff as i'd love to call it. Definitely will check that out.

Not in awhile, i lost all my music again. Fragments of Past Time was really ill though, prison yard power violence. HWC was the first band I remember hearing back in the day that literally blew my mind to pieces. Sucks I cant find some of their shit anymore, I feel like im the only person who jams them lol

I recently got accepted into university and moved to a new city. Had immense luck- moved into a house with two friends which costs us less than mosts flats we've been looking at. I'm pretty happy with life right now. Really lucky with this city here, too- Close to a lot of bigger cities, therefore a lot more chances to go to some gigs than before, though I couldn't really do so yet. Poor student syndrome. You probably remember that from way back. I honestly can't imagine the south korean grindcore scene. But that's probably since my knowledge of south korean culture doesn't really exceed starcraft tournaments and snsd.

I can understand your reaction perfectly, but their legs are mesmerizing which you can probably understand perfectly. Also, they make perfect music for listening to while working. So, how've you been?

Introducing
Listen guy, I enjoy ambient music, I just don't enjoy having to sit through mediocre drone at a show where that genre doesn't even fit the bill. I don't go to a Beach House show expecting Fuck Buttons to open. Also, that show was a long time ago, before I started to get into that kind of music, so there's a decent chance that if I saw him perform live again I wouldn't consider it to be as painful to sit through.

very true. i have not heard anything that comes close to the sonic space Ghetto Beats occupies. such an amazing piece of art that I am very grateful for! and man, I am so into Worthless. I literally listen to it two or three times every day. I like everything about it haha. Especially the new vocal style. I've heard people who are both fans and not fans... how about yourself?
