About Me
I grew up listening to my dad's classic rock and roll tapes (especially the Doobie Brothers) , and I am a major computer geek.
This pretty well explains my most of my musical taste - classic rock is my number one genre, and I also like a wide variety of geeky music. From Nerdcore Hip Hop and They Might Be Giants to video game music, midi and FM synth, and even J-Rock and some J-Pop. I also pick up some non-geek underground Hip Hop from my brother ( http://www.last.fm/user/RobinClowers - but he's mostly a Pandora user these days).
I recently started getting into somewhat older stuff than my usual 80s/70s/60s with Buddy Holly and some older jazz. Also, with the help of The Clash, I discovered I can like punk, it's just the Sex Pistols (my first major punk exposure) that I don't care for (I'm just too optimistic for them, I think).
Some may notice I have extremely high concentrations of certain music sometimes, this is because when I find a new band or type of music I like, I tend to listen to it over and over for some months. I often enjoy listening to the same album or even the same song 3 or 4 or more times in a row (I try to do this alone or with headphones to avoid inflicting this oddity on others).
My website http://www.clowersnet.net/~krc/ is also my OpenID
