I recognise your username... Did you ever post on Cradle of Filth's old forum (theorderofthedragon), or perhaps blackmetal.co.uk back in the day?

Something from Dark Medieval Times!? Was it again "Walk the Path of Sorrow" or did they played another new re-arranged track (for the very first time)?

to respond to your question on Morbus Chron shoutbox: check out Morbid Dimensions by Execration (NOR). it's not really that similar to Sweven, but still worth checking out. one of the better dm albums this year. I see you've been jamming some Sinmara too, that album is fucking awesome! check out new Ascension too, if you haven't already. fuck, so many good metal this year. cheers! :D

Just read your reply to me on the DT shoutbox from a month ago. About par for standard Brit and metal hipster, but you are lacking originality in your insults. Might I suggest widening your musical tastes to things outside of whatever is cool in your lack-of-a-social circle?

Hey, to answer your question from the Fall of Efrafa shoutbox: the new [artist]Cult of Luna[/artist] album, Vertikal; [artist]In The Hearts of Emperors[/artist]; [artist]Downfall of Gaia[/artist]; [artist]Reka[/artist]; [artist]Rosetta[/artist]; maybe [artist]Amenra[/artist]; as a bonus, [artist]Heirs[/artist]. I assume you've heard the latest [artist]Altar of Plagues[/artist]. Oh, and nice taste, we used to be neighbours at some point.

I think you should check out the new DT album, it is *very* different from their older material. Much slower, very much like the pop/gothic/depressive metal that is red hot underground in Europe now. They aren't even the same band anymore.

Hey, If you're looking for political stuff, you could also check the following bands, not exactly Propagandhi-music-like, but still very powerful in their lyrics. They are a bit harder, but I am sure you are ready to listen to them with your taste: Born against, Dir Yassin, Children Of Fall, Malefaction, Raised Fist, Swallowing Shit, The Rebel Spell. Also forgot to mention NOFX before, but with your taste, I am not sure you will like the sound of the Fat Mike's voice, haha. =) Anyway, if you are into political stuff, G7 Welcoming Committee records may be just for you: http://www.g7welcomingcommittee.com/ Cheers! =)

over the last 18 months or so I listened to almost nothing but hip hop. I don't know why... but I went into the old school considered classics stuff and listened to all of it. The obscure and the well known from the late 80's to mid 90's. I've only just recently gotten back into metal again though, after I found out that to my tastes as much as I like old school hip hop, it hasn't evolved with the level of effective creativity that i'd like.....

There are some close to Murphys, but not from Ireland. Black Tartan Clan, and Pipes and Pints come to mind.

Haha! Thanks for your comments on the Gaslight article! Yeah, not sure how we ended up 'super' compatible, but I am intrigued by your tastes. I'm afraid that pic of the angry bald dude may give me nightmares for months.
