saw the comment you made on Neil Young's Comes A Time album from a couple of years ago. I've given it a proper listen for the first time and can't believe I've passed it by for so long, its very good. I'm going to go over his late 80's and 90's stuff next

On the other end of the spectrum, there's XTC's Apple Venus. I sincerely hope you can listen to it sometime since I think it's just as good as Pet Sounds and Burt Bacharach.
