It's great to rediscover this album after 17 years. I remember playing it for the first time back when it came out and feeling disappointed that it didn't sound exactly like a Pixies album - and I reckon a lot of other diehard Pixies fans thought the same. It deserves a fresh pair of ears though - Frank Black has some phenomenal tunes.

This an amazing album. Every song sounds so familiar yet uncliched. How weird!

I love the Pixies, but just the1st time I heard this album I couldn't believe it. A universe beyond anything he did with the Pixies {but I still adore the Pixies}. Black Francis strikes black gold with this record!
