Digital hardcore is a music genre fusing elements of hardcore punk and electronic music, particularly breakbeat, gabber, breakcore, industrial. It developed in Germany during the early 1990s, following artists like Alec Empire and Atari Teenage Riot with the burgeoning scene centering around Alec’s independent DHR label.
