Japan (2002 – present)

the GazettE is a rock band from Japan. They formed in 2002 under the name ガゼット, though later changed the name to the GazettE in 2006.

the GazettE has five members, ルキ (Ruki) on vocals, 麗 (Uruha) and 葵 (Aoi) on guitars, れいた (Reita) on bass and 戒 (Kai) on drums.

They were recognized for their 1st single, “別れ道” (Wakaremichi), released in April 2002 and held their first live March 10th of that year.

the GazettE was originally signed with the Matina label, but in March 2003, they switched over to the PS COMPANY label, right after replacing their original drummer ユネ (Yune) with their current one, 戒 (Kai) ex-drummer of Mareydi†Creia’. Since 2006 they have a European label contract with CLJ Records. In 2010 they signed in USA to Maru Music.

the GazettE has released 5 studio albums, “DISORDER” (2004), “NIL” (2006), “STACKED RUBBISH” (2007), “DIM” (2009) and “TOXIC” (2011), 6 Mini-Albums and 16 singles.
NIL”, “STACKED RUBBISH” and “DIM” has also been released in Europe, North America and Taiwan.

wow, DIVISION limited edition is ridiculously expensive, even for two CDs + DVD. I'm really curious what's on the second CD, though...

Meh, I don't like Shiver, either. I didn't like Red at first because of its pv, but then I guess it sounds OK. K-pop what? LOL. I'm not sure I liked the Untitled live performance much. Distinguishing songs from Toxic: The Suicide Circus, Ruthless Deed and My Devil on the Bed (love them) I liked Discharge v2.0. XD Vortex is pretty good, too. Clever Monkey or Chijou (or both :P) could've been added. Maybe even Before I Decay or Vermin or Naraku. *sigh* I say DIM has been the best so far in almost all aspects. Maybe it just needed a song like Cockroach to make it more perfect. XD

@gurolove: Agreeing with Discharge v. 2.0 part (lol), but what's with all SHIVER hate anyway? It has a good amount of 'oomph' in it, just like all the great Gazette songs (Regret for instance)..."k-pop fangirls' fav Gazette song" what's that, PLEDGE? UNTITLED?

@Pretsy: Toxic has Discharge v.2.0, k-pop fangirls' fav Gazette song and a horrible opening of a horrible anime so Dim-Toxic 3:1

@gurolove: DIM also has a recycled Chizuru :) (DIM SCENE, I still dig that but both songs have identical structures and are composed in Dmaj7... and that LALALALALAH is so cliche'd anyway)
