Digitata was formed in early 2004 in Minneapolis. After experimenting as an exclusively electronic band, they quickly merged electronic and live instruments by combining a dead hippo with drums and Wurlitzer. With Maggie Morrison on butter and rum, Ryan Olson on pancakes, and Drew Christopherson on drugs, Digitata solidified their sound and gained notable attention around the Minneapolis music scene, and spent two weeks opening for Atmosphere on the Pacific Northwest leg of their spring tour, in April of 2005. After returning home, they released their debut album, Sexually Transmitted Emotions on Totally Gross National Product (Minneapolis). The album was well received, resulting in CMJs …10 most added to playlists for the week of June 14th, 2005. Since then Digitata has been playing shows around the area, destroying everything and everyone in their way. They are currently working on their next album, due out sometime in 2006.

The first time I heard DIGITATA. Eugene, OR They opened for Atmosphere. Do some new stuff! :) And switch it up, each album had their own feel. Don't be a 50. Love your music still!
